So as to not risk being the pot calling the kettle black, Z Factory practiced the fine art of self promotion with this series of magazine ads. Limited ad placement; unlimited creative return.

These two tasty offerings – part of a much larger series – graced the pages of drool-soaked publications too numerous to name, while serving up the mouth-watering visions of great food and big fun.

DIYer meets DIY Heaven. These ads lauded the praises of creativity in a can, and the unique individual who can turn a sow's ear into a silk purse. Or lamp. Or soap box racer.
I WISH EDUCATIONAL SERVICES
In-home instruction for a variety of subject matters
Imagine yourself with a hairbrush in front of the bathroom mirror. Then add a teacher who can help you to take your show on the road, or at least to a room with less plumbing. Created for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra program book.
ACE HARDWARE PROPOSED PRINT CAMPAIGN
Pride in a job well done. That message served as both the vision for the creative brief and the sentiment it evoked once we created the executions. And it probably fueled Cary's lust for the camera – and DIY'ing – that manifested itself years later with his appearances on HGTV.
NAVY PIER PRINT CAMPAIGN
As part of a series of ads aimed at increasing convention business at Navy Pier, these executions gave voice to the neighborhood's wildlife. No, not rats... frogs and birds. Frogs and birds, people. And it all involved a wonderful – if not slightly scary – helicopter ride to shoot the day and dusk scenes.
